Our mission as a center seeks to build a center for innovative medical imaging AI research and clinical translation that:
- brings researchers, clinicians, and students together to collaborate in medical imaging AI projects
- builds a shareable infrastructure which benefits the Pittsburgh community by advancing knowledge, improving patient care, accelerating commercialization development, creating jobs, and enhancing the education of students/trainees
- aligns multi-disciplinary projects and forms competitive teams to pursue large research program projects through the NIH, DOD, and NSF funding
- offers interested researchers, clinicians, and entrepreneurs a place to collaborate and perform workforce development via training and mentoring initiatives built on a rich infrastructure
