Our vision is to build a center for advanced innovative AI research, education, clinical translation, commercialization, and collaborations in medical imaging by synergizing computational expertise and clinical resources in Pittsburgh, resulting in a world-class imaging AI research and translation center. We envision developing a unique multi-disciplinary team that engages in impactful collaborations leading to publications, education to trainees, intellectual property, inventions, patents, and commercialization licenses and startups.
The ultimate objective of the Center will be to significantly expand the medical imaging AI research and industry ecosystem in Pittsburgh through sponsored research and to start new AI companies that enable healthcare providers to provide higher quality patient care at a lower cost.
