CAIIMI submitted a Preliminary Proposal to the NSF Convergence Accelerator Program on May 10, 2020 and received an invite for a Phase 1 Full Proposal. This effort was aimed at tackling some of the critical challenges of today's medical imaging AI. We propose to take a convergence approach to form a multi-disciplinary team of experts from diverse, intellectually distinct disciplines/fields and develop partnerships consisting of multiple types of organizations (academia, industry, and government) to work on substantial deliverables.
